Gundam Meister

A few things lead to this image. One, I'd been watching Gundam 00. Two, I'd been reading a fair bit of manga. Three, I had a copy of Manga Studio installed that I needed to get to grips with.

Basically, I wanted to try out the digital inking and screen-toning options in MS. I'm pretty impressed. Not sure that I want to give up my wobbly, furry hand-applied inks just yet (and inking in MS is quite a slow business) but I already love what I can do with this software.

One small niggle - I didn't realise the problem with the moire pattern in the heavier shading was such a no-no. I tried to use it as an effect of sorts, but it doesn' t really wash.

Let me know what you think of this piece. I was really just trying stuff out. But if there's something about this you like (or not) then tell me - it'll help me to work out if this is an avenue I want to investigate further.

And before anybody asks, it isn't meant to be any particular character from Gundam. I's jus' doodlin' here!
